Club President, Dickie Harrington, looks forward to welcoming you to Salfords Cricket Club for President's Day on Sunday 10th June.
The indicative timetable for the day is as follows:
1.00pm Junior 20/20 First Innings, followed by Senior 20/20 First Innings
3.00pm Innings Break with Marie Curie Afternoon Tea
3.30pm Junior 20/20 Second Innings, followed by Senior 20/20 Second Innings
7.00pm Summer Draw
We will be providing a bouncy castle for children throughout the afternoon at no extra cost.
The cost for the day for players is £10 for seniors and £5 for Juniors, this includes the evening BBQ. For non-players the cost for the evening BBQ is £7.50 for adults and £5 for juniors. A further donation to Marie Curie for afternoon tea and cake would be welcomed - if you are able to bring a home made cake to support this important charity please do so. The bar will be open all day.
Raffle tickets for the summer draw are now available from the Pavilion on match days or via Chairman Sanjay Patel and Secretary Graeme Steward. President's Day and the annual summer draw are our biggest revenue generators, so please do support this event. 1st prize is a £100 Amazon Voucher, 2nd Prize an overnight hotel stay for two and 3rd prize a Unilever goods hamper. Lots of other prizes will be available, but we do welcome further prize donations to increase the prize pool.
The car park on the day will be overflowing. Can we please ask you to be considerate to our neighbours with regards to where you park - please do not park on the grass verge either side of the car park entrance (to maintain visibility exiting the car park) or south of the gate to the outfield further along Woodhatch Road (we have received complaints from neighbouring properties before).
In addition to your presence on the day, whether as a player or guest, we do need volunteers to help run the Club on the day - setting up from 11am, running the bar, making the tea, cooking the BBQ, supervising the bouncy castle etc. If you're able to help please do let me know.
Looking forward to a really enjoyable day.
